Frequently Asked Questions

I’ve never practiced Yoga before, are there beginner classes?

Our classes are suited to all levels. Our teachers tailor their classes to those who are in attendance. We do offer beginner workshops, check our upcoming events page for details.

Do I need to bring a mat?

You can bring your mat, or you can rent one for $1 (first time free yoga mat use)

We also have mats for purchase in a variety of colors.

Can I practice Yoga if I have an injury?

Consult your doctor before beginning any exercise program. Especially with injury!

Depending on the injury you can modify any pose throughout your practice, however consult a physician for the specific injury and listen to your body as you practice. Also, let the instructor know of your injury so that they can do the best to help you modify. But this is the student’s responsibility to be aware of their body and what physical practices can take place.

How can Yoga help my flexibility?

By practicing yoga the body strengthens, lengthens and becomes more open. With any exercise program there are benefits to practicing. To become flexible, practicing yoga in proper form will increase flexibility. In Yoga, and specifically Tanha yoga we work on reversing the affects that a sedentary lifestyle brings. As you continue to practice and attend regularly, you and your body will become more flexible.
